I am skipping the gym tonight because I’m watching The Bachelor. I realize how lame this is and it will not happen regularly. But tonight, alas, the pull was too strong.

to Joseph Gray, 27, who finished the race in 15:23 min, a 4:57 min/mile… crap man, that’s hella fast. I salute you. and to Dixie Halvorsen, 51, who finished in 37:02 min… I told you you wouldn’t come in last!! congrats on your first race! you were awesome!

Recap: My very first 5K
Last week I ran my first 5K. Having never run a race before, and not paying too much attention to the name of the race (Guerilla Running Winter Cross), it was a cross country thing. Which means we ran in a field behind a driving range.  It was cold, it was grassy and it was full of people that are part of this “Guerilla Running” running club. First Race Jitters
I’m about to run my first ever race. A 5k in Tumwater, WA. From what I can tell it’s a very small race put on by a local running club. Mission Accomplished {30x30}: Swim in the ocean

VACATION, BABY!!
Today was my last day in the office until the 18th! And to celebrate, I swam 500 meters at the gym. Now we’re watching The Town, which all in all seems like a great way to jumpstart 12 days off.

This is a daunting commitment for me as I hate to run… However, as we pack our bags for Mexico, nothing brings me more joy than packing my headphones and running shoes to follow…  i guess that means i should pack MY running shoes :)
