First Race Jitters
I’m about to run my first ever race. A 5k in Tumwater, WA. From what I can tell it’s a very small race put on by a local running club. I will most likely be coming in dead last in the women’s 5k because all these women look to be hard core runners.
But I’m remembering what 6n6, 365to30 and others blogged about yesterday. Running isn’t about beating the other runners. It’s about pushing myself. It’s about me. I’m inevitably not really prepared. Im kinda hungry and up until this point my longest run was 2.86 mi in 40 minutes. But it matters not. Today I’m going to do something I’ve never done before. I’m going to finish my first race.
Question is: where do I pin this number?
