5/1 MILEAGE: 6.94 mi, 15 min pace probably…
ROUTE: this morning: 2 miles in and around Juanita Beach Park, across the really long bridge, and back. this evening: 5 miles from apt to Intl School, down 108th St. to Northrup, along the highway to Lakeview Drive, along Kirkland waterfront to 10th, up to 68th and back to apt
Hello my name is Carey and it’s been 11 days since my last run. I know, I know. But there’s been lots going on. I mean, for reals. Today though I was up before church and knocked out 2 miles. Had to stop halfway through and take this photo of all the bird watchers gawking at a Bald Eagle perched in this giant tree. I’ve lived here 4 years; Bald Eagle count: 3. All within the last month.
After church and a fabulously long work session, I hit the road for another run. I’d planned 4 but decided to knock out 5 miles to get me up near the 7 miles on the docket for today. After the 2 this monring, I wasn’t feeling a thing but now after the 5 more, I can say without a doubt that skipping nearly 2 weeks of training s.u.c.k.s. Back on track today, kids. That’s for damn sure. Half Marathon is in 55 days.
